Installation & Quick Start
Get StoryLoop installed and configured in your Jira workspace in minutes.
Installation

Install from the Atlassian Marketplace
Find StoryLoop on the Atlassian Marketplace and click "Get it now". The app is available for Jira Software and Jira Service Management.

Grant the requested permissions
The app needs read/write access to issue data to read your summaries and write back generated descriptions. Review and approve the permissions.

Access StoryLoop in Jira
After installation, StoryLoop is automatically available in the right sidebar of every issue view and in the project sidebar.

After installation, project administrators should configure StoryLoop to get the highest quality AI output. Navigate to Project Settings → StoryLoop to access the Admin Configuration Panel.
AI Settings Tab
Set up templates for different issue types (Bugs, Stories, Tasks) to guide the AI in generating descriptions that match your team's style and tone. By setting also an example issue, you can ensure the AI generates output that is consistent with your existing issue descriptions.
Project Context Tab
Add descriptions of your application architecture, domain-specific terminology, acronyms, and user personas. The AI references this context every time it generates a ticket.
GitHub Integration Tab
Authenticate your GitHub account and select the repositories relevant to the current Jira project.
Analytics Tab
Track total issues enhanced via AI, test cases generated, and estimated hours saved per sprint.
